In the historical Headquarters of LEALI S.p.A. in Odolo, is running a modern rolling plant built by SIEMENS-VAI (former Pomini) a world leader in the design and construction of steel plants. The technical features of this plant allow:

• to obtain rolled products with excellent surface conditions, good straightness and tight form and dimensional tolerances, which are checked by very precise optical, contactless digital instruments, mounted on the hot rolling line;
• to perform productive, dimensional and qualitative changes very rapidly, therefore allowing a big flexibility in the production planning, in the rolling of small batches and extremely short lead times.

The rolling train is being fed by an efficient movable hearth reheating furnace, built by TS-Impianti, designed and shaped to guarantee not only a rapid and uniform reheating of the blooms, but also environmental-friendly through remarkable energy savings.

All operations, from the time the blooms are put into the furnace, till the marking labels are being attached to the bundles of the rolled products, are monitored by a completely automatic supervision system, which ensures the product’s traceability and records all significant productive parameters of every single batch.

Next to the rolling mill is located an efficient finishing department with machining lines (straightening, reeling and sandblasting) equipped for the surface and inner control of the bars, manned by operators certified to UNI EN 473:2001. This department also operates a 50 ton bogie hearth furnace to perform heat treatments in order to increase the steel workability and to make cutting easier. In any case, the delivery of normalized, quenched and tempered products, etc., is possible, through treatments that our company commissions to first class industry operators.
